Padang, West Sumatra, Dec. 4 -- Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti said the government is prioritizing the restoration of education services in districts affected by floods and landslides to ensure that learning activities can resume safely and properly.

"We are providing assistance for school cleaning so the process can move faster and be handled by competent teams," Mu'ti said in Padang on Thursday.

He added that the ministry continues to distribute emergency learning materials and support for teachers and students impacted by the disaster.

As of 4 December 2024, the ministry has delivered initial assistance to affected areas in West Sumatra, North Sumatra, and Aceh.
