Jakarta, Dec. 22 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Environment has initiated the planting of 1,000 trees in the headwaters of the Cisadane River Basin, Bogor District, West Java, to establish a "green fort" against disaster risks.

Environment Minister Hanif Faisol Nurofiq led the initiative, bringing together locals and representatives from allied student executive boards in Greater Bogor to expand tree cover in Leuwiliang Sub-district on Sunday (December 21), according to a statement received here on Monday.
