Jakarta, March 4 -- Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Pratikno, has said that the government will prepare additional weather modification operations (OMC) without delay to reduce rainfall in the Greater Jakarta area.

"We are adding the weather modification operation. This flood was caused by water flow from the upstream, where the downstream region also continues to (see) rain. This rainfall must be reduced," he informed at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He informed that the weather modification will be carried out by the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) and the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
