Jakarta, June 2 -- Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati announced that the five economic incentives introduced by the government -- including transportation and toll road discounts for June to July 2025 -- aim to sustain economic activity during the school holiday period.

Speaking at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Monday, she explained that the incentives are designed to offset potential economic slowdowns caused by global pressures.

The transportation incentive package includes three types of discounts. First, a 30-percent discount will be applied to train fares, targeting approximately 2.8 million passengers.

The government has allocated a budget of Rp300 billion (around US$18.4 million) for this program.
