Jakarta, Aug. 22 -- The Indonesian government has established the Higher Education Council (DPT) to strengthen the country's higher education system and ensure it creates a tangible impact on the community.

According to Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Fauzan, the DPT is a "strategic and participatory platform" designed to ensure the community is actively and sustainably involved in shaping national higher education policies.

Launched on Wednesday, the council was formed via ministerial decrees to spearhead a transformation in higher education, science, and technology.
