Jakarta, Feb. 6 -- The government is continuing to explore the development of domestically produced electric vehicles, including an electric version of the Maung tactical vehicle manufactured by PT Pindad.

This was conveyed by the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming and head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Rosan Roeslani, following a limited meeting with President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday.

"The Maung tactical vehicle has the potential to be further developed as an electric vehicle," he said.

According to the minister, the limited meeting discussed strategies to strengthen investment in the development of the electric vehicle industry in Indonesia and involved several related parties.
