Jakarta, Jan. 29 -- The Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries made assurance that it would put an end to illegal land reclamation activities on Pari Island in Jakarta's Seribu Islands District.

"To ensure the activities are fully stopped, the ministry has put up a banner stopping the activities," Marine Affairs and Fisheries Minister's Special Staff Doni Ismanto Darwin confirmed to ANTARA here on Wednesday.

Darwin noted that this step follows a field inspection conducted on January 20, 2025, which revealed reclamation activities involving excavations and reclamation filling over an area of 18 m2 intended for anchorage and berthing.
