Jakarta, Jan. 30 -- The government has allocated nearly Rp20 trillion (around US$1.23 billion) for the renovation of infrastructure in the education sector, including school buildings, toilets, as well as washing and clean water facilities.

At the BRI Microfinance Outlook 2025 event in Tangerang, Banten, on Thursday, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati informed that President Prabowo Subianto has instructed the provision of hand-washing facilities for children to maintain hygiene.

"To this end, the budget for school renovation will continue to be increased. This year, we start with nearly Rp20 trillion," she said.
