Jakarta, Oct. 21 -- President Prabowo Subianto said his administration has redirected Rp306 trillion ($17.9 billion) from parts of the state budget vulnerable to corruption toward programs that directly benefit the public during his first year in office.

At a plenary cabinet session marking one year of his administration, Prabowo said the measure reflects his commitment to improving budget governance and eradicating corruption throughout the bureaucracy.

"We have successfully diverted Rp306 trillion of the state budget, which was prone to corruption, into pro-people programs," he told the meeting at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday.
