Jakarta, Feb. 4 -- The Ministry for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers has said that the government will continue diplomatic efforts for the repatriation of Indonesian migrant workers from Myawaddy, Myanmar.
"We continue diplomatic efforts and other means," Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Minister Abdul Kadir Karding said in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He emphasized that his ministry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are continuing to make the utmost efforts to secure the immediate return of the migrant workers.
However, he said that this will not be easy considering that the area where the migrant workers have been detained is a conflict area under the control of rebel forces.
