Jakarta, June 10 -- The Public Works Ministry has completed the construction of a paralympic training center in Karanganyar district, Central Java, to support the development of competitive athletes with disabilities.

"I am convinced that Indonesia has great potential to produce talented para-athletes," Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo said here on Tuesday.

"The development of this paralympic training center is expected to help our para-athletes hone their skills in a more optimal and structured way," he added.

The training center is located in Delingan village at the foot of Mount Lawu. The facility was constructed between December 2023 and December 2024 using Rp421.9 billion (approximately US$26 million) from the State Budget.
