Jakarta, Dec. 17 -- The government has begun assessing locations for the construction of permanent housing for residents affected by floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno said the assessment is part of the housing relocation process, which is moving in parallel with the construction of temporary housing.
"Temporary housing is already underway, and some areas have entered the preparation stage for permanent housing. The Minister of Housing reported that preparations are ready, and we have agreed to conduct an assessment of the relocation sites," he stated on Wednesday.
