Jakarta, March 5 -- The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has invited a private university to collaborate in strengthening the competency of teachers teaching artificial intelligence (AI) and coding subjects in schools.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister Abdul Mu'ti said that his ministry is seeking to collaborate with Pelita Harapan University (UPH), which recently opened its Artificial Intelligence Faculty, to prepare teachers to teach AI and coding, which will be offered as elective subjects in 2025-2026.

"We have discussed the areas in which we can cooperate soon. There are two options that the ministry proposed to UPH," he informed here on Wednesday.
