Jakarta, Jan. 27 -- Indonesia will allocate 1.8 trillion rupiah (US$115 million) in regular social assistance for beneficiaries in three flood-hit provinces, the Social Affairs Ministry said Tuesday, as authorities step up support ahead of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf said the funds will be distributed in the first quarter of 2026 to recipients of the Family Hope Program (PKH) and the Basic Food Assistance Program (BPNT) in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra, which are undergoing rehabilitation and reconstruction after recent floods.
