Jakarta, Aug. 4 -- The Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs has asked all parties to fast-track efforts to reach the target of boosting the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program's coverage to 20 million beneficiaries before Indonesia's 80th Independence Day.
The directive follows an order from President Prabowo Subianto to all ministries, including the coordinating ministry, to ensure the program expands rapidly and reaches its target by Independence Day on August 17 this year.
In a statement issued in Jakarta on Monday, Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, Budi Gunawan, reported that as of the end of July 2025, the MBG program has reached 7,374,135 beneficiaries.
