Jakarta, Aug. 4 -- The Indonesian government and the House of Representatives (DPR) have agreed to form a joint team to devise policies to take overdimension and overloaded (ODOL) vehicles off the road by 2027.
The agreement was announced after a meeting with several national logistics driver associations at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday.
"Toward the 2027 Zero ODOL goal, we have agreed together with the government and the Nusantara Logistics Drivers Association (APLN) to establish a joint team to formulate several policies based on the aspirations of our colleagues from APLN," Deputy Speaker of the House, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, announced.
