Jakarta, Sept. 15 -- Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas has affirmed the political alignment between the government and the House of Representatives (DPR) regarding the Asset Forfeiture Bill, stating that both parties are now on the same page.

The Asset Forfeiture Bill is now a DPR initiative, having previously been under the government's purview.

"So, let's have a little more patience on the bill. The political commitment is already there," Agtas said during a press conference here on Monday.

The minister expressed optimism that discussions on the bill would move forward more quickly now that it is part of the DPR's initiatives, noting that the government is fully prepared and the draft document has been finalized.
