Jakarta, July 21 -- House of Representatives' (DPR's) Deputy Speaker, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, stated that the government has set targets for the development and readiness of the capital city's relocation to the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) in East Kalimantan.

According to Ahmad, IKN's development is guided by existing laws and plans that have been determined based on the budget.

"After we have assessed the situation there, the development is proceeding according to the budget allocated by the government," Ahmad noted at the parliament complex in Jakarta on Monday.

He remarked that the relocation or acceleration of IKN's development must take into account the current budget.

Ahmad is so far not yet aware of the budget allocation for IKN.
