Jakarta, April 21 -- The Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture emphasized the government's commitment to protecting the rights of women, both in the family and workplace.
Woro Srihastuti, the ministry's Deputy for the Coordination of Family and Population Quality Improvement, made the statement on Monday at the ministry's Kartini Day celebration event in Jakarta.
Kartini Day is celebrated every April 21 in Indonesia to commemorate women's emancipation activist R.A. Kartini.
