Jakarta, July 31 -- The Higher Education, Science, and Technology Ministry has allocated Rp47.1 billion (around US$2.98 million) to boost research and promote its sustainability through three flagship schemes aimed at improving public welfare.
The ministry's director general for research and development, Fauzan Adziman, noted in a statement received here on Thursday that the initiative is a follow-up to the funding for the first batch of research and community service, which is capped at Rp1.47 trillion (around US$93.04 million).
For the second batch, Rp25.7 billion (around US$1.63 million) is allocated for the research program, with 110 universities submitting a total of 375 proposals.
