Jakarta, June 14 -- Indonesia's Deputy Agriculture Minister Sudaryono has assured that the government's plan to export two thousand tons of rice to Malaysia per month will not impact the country's domestic rice stocks.

"Insha'allah (God willing), (it is) safe," he told journalists here on Friday when asked if exporting rice to the neighboring country would disrupt Indonesia's domestic rice stocks.

He explained that rice supplies for Malaysia will be sourced from the stocks stored at the warehouses of the state logistics agency Bulog, which receives up to 20 thousand tons per day from domestic production.
