Jakarta, Nov. 5 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) is developing an information system that will be integrated with Nusuk, the official Saudi Arabian platform, to allow the public to perform Umrah independently or directly.

This initiative follows Saudi Arabia's launch of the "Direct Umrah" scheme through the Nusuk platform, which allows prospective pilgrims to register and book Umrah services electronically without going through external parties such as Hajj and Umrah agencies.

The policy is outlined in a diplomatic note conveyed by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Jakarta to Indonesia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the launch of the Nusuk Umrah initiative.
