Jakarta, June 20 -- The government will relocate residences and restore relevant facilities for the people of Purwakarta who are impacted by the landslide and ground subsidence in Pasirmunjul Village, Sukatani, Purwakarta District, West Java.

"Relocation is necessary because, according to geological assessment, the place is no longer safe for habitation. No temporary residences, they are made as permanent residences right away," Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Pratikno said in a statement here on Friday.

The decision was taken after Pratikno and several other officials went to review the site of the disaster.
