Banda Aceh, Aceh, Dec. 20 -- Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar said schools under the ministry's authority, including madrasahs damaged by disasters, will begin to be rebuilt in the 2026 fiscal year.

"We have received complete data on madrasahs and Islamic boarding schools that were swept away, severely damaged, or lightly damaged, including students affected by the disaster," Umar said on Saturday.

He made the remarks on the sidelines of the handover of recovery assistance for disaster-affected students in Aceh, totaling Rp2.3 billion, or about US$137 thousand.
