Jakarta, Sept. 14 -- The Ministry of Culture has reaffirmed its commitment to preserving keroncong music through the Keroncong Svarnanusa 2025 festival, held in Blitar, East Java, on Saturday (September 13).

Culture Minister Fadli Zon stated in a statement here on Sunday that Blitar, known as the City of the Proclaimer, has long embraced keroncong music as part of its culture.

The event was held under collaboration between the Blitar City Government and the Svara Irama Nusantara Foundation.

"Blitar is an iconic location that connects keroncong music with the spirit of the nation's struggle," Zon said.
