Jakarta, Dec. 7 -- Deputy Coordinating Minister for Legal, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Otto Hasibuan underscored the importance of government officials' readiness for the implementation of the new Criminal Code ahead of its enforcement early next year.

Opening the "Internalization of Legal Development Index Oversight and Implementation of Law No. 1 of 2023" event on the Criminal Code in Jakarta, he said officials hold a strategic role in conveying accurate understanding for wider public awareness efforts.
