Jakarta, Jan. 3 -- Deputy Agriculture Minister Sudaryono said the government remains committed to assisting livestock affected by natural disasters in Sumatra through comprehensive data collection as a foundation for sustainable recovery for local farmers.

He said the Ministry of Agriculture is currently identifying all affected types of livestock, including chickens, cattle, and goats, to ensure that assistance is aligned with conditions on the ground and to prevent further losses in disaster-affected areas.

"We are identifying everything, from chickens to cattle and goats. From the livestock sector, we also have programs that will support recovery in the post-disaster phase," Sudaryono said in a statement on Saturday.
