Jakarta, Sept. 12 -- Governor of Jakarta Pramono Anung Wibowo ensures that the measles case in the province does not surge significantly.
"Currently, what happens in Jakarta regarding measles is that there is no spike like in the other provinces," Wibowo said here on Friday.
According to him, the surge of measles is observed in two areas, which are Cilincing and Cengkareng. However, the increase is relatively similar to last year, he pointed out.
"Thus, regarding measles in Jakarta, the situation is not as concerning as feared," he remarked.
Head of Jakarta Health Office Ani Ruspitawati stated that per September 2025, her administration noted 218 cases of measles, as well as 63 cases of rubella. However, there are no fatalities.
