Jakarta, Dec. 12 -- The National Food Agency (Bapanas) revealed that the government is distributing three types of food assistance to residents affected by floods in Sumatra to support recovery and ensure basic needs are met.
Bapanas Head and Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman explained here on Friday that the first aid package, valued at Rp918 billion or around U$55.1 million, consists of rice and cooking oil and is based on the President's directive to accelerate recovery.
"The second type is non-regular, based on requests from provinces due to the disaster, with a value of Rp330 billion," Sulaiman said.
