Jakarta, Feb. 10 -- The government has prepared economic incentives in the form of transportation fare discounts during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr public holiday, with a total budget of Rp911.16 billion or US$54.2 million.

"The total budget is Rp911.16 billion, sourced from both the State Budget (APBN) and non-APBN funds," Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said during a press conference here on Tuesday.

For rail travel, a 30 percent discount on ticket prices provided by state railway company PT KAI will be applied for trips between March 14 and 29, targeting 1.2 million passengers.
