Jakarta, Feb. 10 -- Trade Minister Budi Santoso has assured that prices of staple goods remain stable and supplies are sufficient ahead of the national religious holidays of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

During a visit to Cuplik Market in Sukoharjo, Central Java, on Tuesday, he said that overall prices and supplies of key commodities were stable. Communities across Indonesia, he added, can shop as usual to prepare for the upcoming holidays.

"Today, we inspected the market to ensure price and supply conditions ahead of the fasting month and Eid. Overall, prices are good and stable. Please shop as usual," he said in a statement here on Tuesday.
