Jakarta, Feb. 17 -- Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka voiced appreciation and gratitude to Indonesian Confucians for actively contributing to national development and helping keep the country united amid diversity.

"I would like to appreciate the contributions of the Confucian community for maintaining harmony, strengthening tolerance, and bolstering national unity," he remarked.

Gibran made the statement in his address for Chinese New Year 2577 Kongzili, issued by the Vice Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta on Tuesday.
