Jakarta, April 30 -- Minister of Population and Family Development Wihaji announced that as of April 28, the Parents Movement to Prevent Stunting (Genting) Program had reached 141,382 foster children, supported by 20,396 foster parents.
"As of April 28, there are 141,382 foster children under the care of 20,396 foster parents," he stated during a working meeting with Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) on Wednesday.
The Genting Program, launched by the ministry on December 5, 2024, aims to reduce the risk of stunting in families by providing nutritional support, implementing clean water programs, and preventing early marriages.
