Indonesia, Sept. 13 -- Indonesia's Police Forensics Laboratory Centre (Puslabfor) said malfunctioning cooking gas cylinders are suspected to have caused a mysterious explosion that damaged several houses in South Tangerang City early Friday.
"We found one 12-kg gas cylinder and three 5-kg gas cylinders," Commissioner Heriyandi, head of the metallurgy research sub-directorate at Puslabfor, stated here on Friday.
Investigators also recovered a gas regulator set and a stove from the site.
The items will be examined to determine their connection to the blast, he added, stressing that the forensic probe is still ongoing.
