Indonesia, Sept. 10 -- Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Stella Christie emphasized that the establishment of Garuda Schools is part of President Prabowo Subianto's strategy to accelerate human resource development in science and technology.
"President Prabowo sees that Indonesia's science and technology graduates still lag behind other countries, including our neighbors. Therefore, a concrete strategy is needed to close this gap," she said during a working visit to Mempawah District on Wednesday.
She explained that Garuda Schools are designed to become top-quality senior high schools focused on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
