Jakarta, July 22 -- Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto has said that national carrier Garuda Indonesia is still negotiating the purchase of 50 aircraft with Boeing, adding that no deal has been reached yet.

"The aircraft deal is still in the process of business-to-business negotiations between Boeing and Garuda. So, we will wait for further developments," he said after attending a session on US tariffs with business associations here on Monday.

As reported earlier, Garuda Indonesia is planning to acquire 50 Boeing aircraft-mostly Boeing 777s-to follow up on the Indonesia-US tariff agreement.
