Jakarta, July 30 -- Funds held in inactive bank accounts will remain safe, even after the accounts are frozen by the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, Budi Gunawan, has assured.
He made the remarks in response to the PPATK's plan to block bank accounts that have been inactive for more than three months. The measure is intended to prevent the misuse of inactive accounts, which are often exploited by irresponsible parties for criminal activities.
