Jakarta, June 5 -- Indonesia has urged the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to exercise their moral and political responsibility to stop ongoing Israeli violations in Gaza.

"Indonesia regrets the failure of the UN Security Council to adopt the draft resolution calling for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ( Kemlu ) said in a post on the platform X on Thursday.

Indonesia also called on the international community to help realize a just and sustainable peace in Gaza and throughout the occupied Palestinian territories.
