Jakarta, Jan. 7 -- President Prabowo Subianto has set a target for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program to reach all villages across Indonesia by the end of December 2026.

In his remarks at the great harvest event and the announcement of national food self-sufficiency in Karawang, West Java, which was monitored via a live broadcast of the Presidential Secretariat on Wednesday, the President said the MBG program has currently reached 55 million beneficiaries.

The achievement was made within just one year. Meanwhile, the government has set a target of 82.9 million beneficiaries, consisting of schoolchildren, pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, and the elderly.
