Jakarta, Oct. 14 -- The Ministry of Finance recorded that budget realization for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program has reached Rp20.6 trillion (around US$1.23 billion) as of October 3, 2025, with 31.2 million beneficiaries covered.

This spending level reflects a 29 percent realization of the total budget ceiling of Rp71 trillion.

"If we see the distribution, it has been carried out across Indonesia," Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara said in a press conference on the state budget in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Based on the regional distribution, Java island recorded the highest number of MBG beneficiaries, reaching 18.42 million people, followed by Sumatra, 6.60 million; Sulawesi, 2.33 million; Bali-Nusa Tenggara, 1.83 million; ...
