Bandung, July 29 -- Population and Family Development Minister Wihaji has emphasized the need to ensure that food distributed under the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program is consumed by three groups of intended beneficiaries-pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers.

"It is paramount to ensure that free nutritious meals reach pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers who are not enrolled in early childhood education institutions," he said during a visit to an MBG kitchen in Bandung, West Java, on Tuesday.

He stressed that the government is committed to implementing the MBG program to cater to the nutritional needs of these three groups, in addition to schoolchildren.
