Jakarta, Nov. 12 -- Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, announced that each newly established Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) or MBG kitchen will serve a maximum of 2,500 meal beneficiaries.

According to him, the new regulation refers to the latest technical guidelines on the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.

"Previously, each kitchen could serve 3,000-4,000 beneficiaries. With the new guideline, we are targeting an average of 2,500, with 2,000 for school children. Each kitchen will also serve a minimum of 500 portions for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers," he said during a hearing with Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) on Wednesday.
