Jakarta, Feb. 10 -- Presidential Communication Office (PCO) spokesperson Philips Vermonte has said that the Free Health Check-up Program aims to promote a preventive approach to public health as an initial step toward detecting health problems.

"This program is intended to start from the community and all of us, in terms of prevention," he added while reviewing the program's implementation at the Kebon Jeruk Community Health Center, West Jakarta, on Monday.

He noted that so far, the approach in the health system has been focused more on curative measures, rather than prevention.
