Jakarta, July 25 -- The Ministry of Forestry is planning to convene a meeting with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to synchronize data on mines operating without forest area utilization permits (PPKH).

"Maybe next week, we will once again invite colleagues from the KPK to reconcile such data," Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni said at a press conference at the KPK Headquarters in Jakarta on Thursday.

He emphasized that data synchronization is essential because mines operating without PPKH can severely damage forests and contribute nothing to the state.

"I would like to reiterate that I, as a minister, have been mandated to deal with such mines in a bid to safeguard our forests," Antoni stressed.
