Jakarta, Sept. 1 -- Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung confirmed that food supplies in the capital are secure until October 2025 and will not be affected by recent demonstrations.

He made the statement in response to circulating rumors of a food shortage in Jakarta.

"Yesterday, there were rumors that food would be a problem. In Jakarta, food is sufficient, even until the end of October. Food supplies in Jakarta are very secure," Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall on Monday.
