Jakarta, Feb. 4 -- Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman has assured that national stocks of food are at safe levels ahead of the Ramadan Month, which is predicted to start between the end of February and early March 2025.

Addressing reporters at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Tuesday, Sulaiman emphasized that the government has been working to ensure sufficient stocks of staple commodities to keep their prices stable.

"We are working toward adequate stocks of cooking oil, meat, and rice. God willing, everything is under control," he said.

The minister expressed optimism that the current stocks of basic goods would be sufficient for the people to meet their needs during the Islamic holy month.
