Jakarta, June 30 -- Indonesia's House of Representatives (DPR) has called on Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono to immediately address the issue of unfilled ambassadorial posts at several Indonesian embassies abroad.

Deputy Chair of DPR's Commission I, Anton Sukartono, underlined that ambassadors serve a vital role in the Foreign Affairs Ministry, as they are tasked with protecting Indonesian citizens overseas and promoting the country's national interests through diplomacy.

"I want the vacant positions to be filled immediately, no matter what," Sukartono told the minister during a meeting at the Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta on Monday.
