New York, Sept. 26 -- Foreign Minister Sugiono has firmly declared that political support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) is not a matter of choice, but essential.
Speaking at the High-Level Ministerial Meeting on UNRWA held on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York, Thursday, Minister Sugiono underscored the urgency of reinforcing the agency's mandate.
"Political support is not optional, but essential, particularly the renewal of its mandate," he asserted.
