Jakarta, July 14 -- Housing and Human Settlements Minister (PKP) Maruarar Sirait encouraged low-income citizens to fully utilize the subsidized mortgage program for low-income individuals (KPR Sejahtera) under the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) to purchase their first home.

"This FLPP mortgage should be utilized by low-income citizens seeking to own their first home. Rather than spending money elsewhere, it is better to invest in a house, as land and construction prices keep rising," Sirait noted in a statement on Monday.
