Jakarta, Dec. 13 -- State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi said the process of assessing housing damage caused by recent floods is expected to take several months.

Speaking after accompanying President Prabowo Subianto on a visit to refugee shelters in North Sumatra on Saturday, Hadi said the government is implementing several response stages in parallel.

He said the government is prioritizing emergency response efforts while simultaneously preparing rehabilitation and reconstruction measures.
